On Tuesday January 16th, 2018 five Cedar students took off on their journey to Washington DC to participate in the 45th annual March for Life. Among those students were Seniors Gus Creekmore and Isaac Creamer, Juniors Clarissa Paltz and Sadie Uhing, and Sophomore Hannah Kleinschmit.
The March for Life is an annual rally protesting both the practice and legality of abortion, held in Washington, DC, on or around the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, a landmark decision which was issued in 1974 by the United State Supreme Court decriminalizing abortion. The march, whose stated mission is "to provide all Americans with a place to testify to the beauty of life and the dignity of each human person," advocates in overturning Roe v. Wade. It is organized by the March for Life Education and Defense Fund.
